The Geelong Running Festival is pleased to announce that the Geelong Sports Medicine Centre and Fitness Lab our Official Performance Partner.
Their team of physiotherapists and strength and conditioning coaches are here to support your preparation — with evidence-based assessment, personalised training guidance and a community that keeps you accountable all the way to race day.
GSMC and Fitness Lab will support runners across every stage of preparation, including:
Free Community Run Club every Friday morning at 6.15am.
Downloadable training plans built specifically for distances - Marathon, Half Marathon and 6.5km.
Injury assessment and management from our team of allied health professionals, including physio, podiatry, osteo, massage and sports medicine.
Running Assessment - a physio-led movement and biomechanics review to identify what needs work before race day.
Strength and conditioning programming designed around runners - not generic gym work.
Performance testing - VO2 max, lactate threshold and personalised training zones based on your physiology.
Recovery support - compression boot sessions and ice bath access for run club and GRF participants.
Supplement advice - Safety Anti-doping and WADA compliance - evidence-based guidance on medications and supplements for drug-tested athletes.
